100% dried blue lotus. Loose petals (20 g and 100 g) come from Thailand. Whole flowers (100 g) come from Sri Lanka.
Blue lotus, scientific name Nymphaea caerulea, is an aquatic flower that historically held a prominent place in ancient Egypt, where it was depicted in art, temple reliefs and religious texts as a symbol of the sun, rebirth and the cycle of life. The flower's daily rhythm – opening its petals at dawn and closing them at sunset – was associated with the sun god Ra and the creation myth, and it appeared in funeral rites, offerings and festivities. Older sources describe blue lotus as part of ceremonial settings, often combined with wine and other drinks.

From a botanical and chemical perspective, blue lotus is of particular interest because of its natural alkaloids, above all apomorphine and nuciferine. Apomorphine is an alkaloid that has been studied in the research literature for its effect on dopamine receptors in the nervous system, while nuciferine is an isoquinoline alkaloid that has been examined in connection with plant extracts and their pharmacological profile.

Köpte först lösa blad, men rekommenderar inte dem om du är ute efter smaken. De smakar som en övertorkad växt, ungefär som hö.
Hela blommor däremot smakar mycket bättre, men tyvärr fick jag med hårstrån i förpackningen.
Ett plus är dock deras kundtjänst.

Verkar vara en fin ört, luktar och smakar bra. Blå lotus har bland annat både ångestdämpande och antidepressiva effekter. Det integrerar med vissa serotonerga receptorer.
Antingen så gör man te eller en tinktur på det (låter det stå i alkohol länge). Vissa röker det men jag avråder rökning helt och rekommenderar istället att vaporisera det om man inte gör te eller tinktur på det.
Passar utmärkt i örtteblandningar(och väldigt bra ihop med cbd), passade väldigt bra ihop med röd flugsvamp med. Kanske aningen pricey men bra & äkta blå lotus ska inte vara billigt utifrån det jag läst, finns många produkter som säljs som blå lotus utan att ens vara det verkar många källor på nätet påstå.
Jag är väldigt nöjd med denna butiken rent generellt! =)
